It's been a busy week for Serenity Balance and Chakradance in particular!
On Thursday I ran a day long Stress Awareness workshop where candidates worked through their own personal tool kit during the day. The morning was spent looking at the theory: Just what is 'Stress'? What are the short term and long term signs? What does the 'fight/flight response do to us?
The afternoon session was spent learning techniques to cushion ourselves from the effects of stress: Looking at life style changes we can make, breathing techniques and how to relax. During my Stress Awareness workshops candidates do not need to share their stressors but are guided to acknowledge and recognise it. They are then encouraged to differentiate between situations they have some control over and those which they don't.
Friday we danced the Crown Chakra workshop. The energy was immense as we reached the penultimate dance of our chakra journey. We had plenty of shared experiences between us when we shared our feedback at the end of the session.
Saturday four of us danced the Awakening Dance in a two hour, 'Introduction to Chakradance' workshop. It felt liberating to dance through each of the chakras once again.
So, what's coming up?
On Friday 14th we dance the final dance of our Chakradancing journey; the Integration dance. Here the whole session is one of wholeness and completeness. The final stage before we start the cycle again. This session is closed to those who have completed previous workshops in order to preserve the energy of the group.
On Saturday 15th I will facilitate the Awakening Dance again, this time in Avebury! What a lovely way to start the day in the most sacred of sacred spaces! This session is open to all. This will be your opportunity to dance the first dance of the Awakening cycle of Chakradance.
So, come and join me! Have fun! Waken up your chakras and enjoy the opportunity to dance and move with no one watching!
Each month, throughout 2017, I will be posting in more detail about the topic of the month. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like me to discuss.
