The next weekly workshop will be Friday, 2nd May, at Devizes. We will be dancing the Heart Chakra dance, of love and compassion. This is a dance of air and lightness. You will find more information on the welcome page and the Forthcoming Workshops Page.
As always: Our Friday evening workshops run from 5.30 - 7.00pm, at White Horse Yoga Centre in Devizes. The early start means you are free to continue your weekend.
On Saturday 3rd May we will dance the third of our monthly workshops at Avebury. This month it's the Sacral Chakra, the feminine dance. We will shake and shimmy our way through the dance as we discover our inner goddess. The Avebury workshops run from 9.30 - 11.00am.
Come and join the dance as we have fun, enjoy a workout, and balance our chakras through our own inner dance.
When, as a group, we danced this dance together last, we built up the heat and energy and enjoyed a fantastic workout at the same time! This is the dance of power. Reawaken your self esteem, discover your inner warrior and be proud of who you are. This is a hot, energetic dance. As the music resonates with the solar plexus chakra so we begin to bring this chakra back into balance, thus rediscovering confidence in ourselves.
Come and join us on Friday and join in the fun, the dance, for yourself!
After last week's Awakening Chakradance I experienced a day of cold symptoms, low mood and weepiness. Not a good advertisement for Chakradance you might say, but in fact I experienced a 'Healing Crisis', the body's natural way of dealing with excess toxins in the body.
Basically, when healing or a detoxification process has been started there may be a temporary worsening of any ill health or emotions you may have been experiencing prior to the treatment.
A healing crisis is a natural part of the healing process. As toxins begin to be removed, or energy shifts take place so we may experience some uncomfortable symptoms in the short term before the long term benefits are felt.
'Undergroundhealth.com' states that: 'The symptoms that accompany a healing crisis may include: headache, flushing, skin eruptions and/or boils, fever, nausea, joint pains, feelings of being spaced out, unusual fatigue, insomnia, sleepiness, congestion, strong emotions, depression, irritability, muscle cramps, aches and pains, constipation, diarrhoea, hot/cold flashes, night sweats and many other symptoms which are often cold and/or flu-like. A healing crisis will often bring up past issues, “retracing”, that have been dormant in your body for a long time … past illnesses and disease may re-manifest as the body eliminates the toxins that have been stored from those disease processes'
Whilst it may be uncomfortable at the time a healing crisis rarely lasts more than a couple of days. You can support your body during this time by drinking plenty of fluids and resting.
Remember, a healing crisis is a sign that the treatment or healing chosen is working.
Each month, throughout 2017, I will be posting in more detail about the topic of the month. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like me to discuss.
